Disney’s Next Big Moves: Frozen Sequels, Hexed, and Stunning New Animation

Disney’s Next Big Moves: Frozen Sequels, Hexed, and Stunning New Animation

Disney is planning new adventures with characters we already love, brand-new stories, and even a fresh animation style that could change how their movies look forever. After the way their movies bombed from 2022-2024, Disney has taken a new initiative and decided to restrategise. And honestly I'm blown away.

Let’s explore what Disney is preparing and why I'm getting excited.

Disney is working on Frozen 3, and they have even confirmed that Frozen 4 is planned too. That means Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and the rest of the gang are not done with their story yet.

The reason Disney is making two movies instead of one is very simple: the story has become too big for just one film. According to Disney leaders, they want to give the characters enough time to grow and face new challenges without rushing everything. And they've been teasing us that this frozen movie is going to have all of us blown away.

Fans are especially curious about: Elsa’s powers and where they came from, Anna’s role as queen, Kristoff and Anna’s relationship.

Disney is also planning a brand-new original animated movie for 2026 called Hexed. Unlike Frozen, this will not be a sequel. It will be a new story with new characters.

Details are still secret, but early information suggests that it'll be a magical or fantasy setting, strong female main character, humor mixed with adventure, emotional storytelling.

Disney normally releases original movies between big sequels to keep creativity fresh. Movies like Encanto and Moana started this way and later became global hits. So fans are hoping Hexed could become the next big Disney franchise.

One of the most interesting things happening is Disney’s plan to try new animation styles. For over a decade, Disney movies have used a similar 3D CGI look seen in Frozen, Tangled, Moana, Encanto. But now, Disney wants to try something different. This change is happening mainly because audiences loved the unique styles from other studios, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Puss in Boots The Last Wish. These films proved animation does not have to look realistic to be beautiful. That means future Disney movies might look more like moving paintings or storybooks instead of traditional CGI.

For a while, Disney made many sequels and remakes. But now they want to return to original storytelling. Movies like Encanto brought in original ideas that became global success.

Studios like Sony and DreamWorks are making amazing animated movies. Instead of ignoring competition, Disney is learning from it and improving. This competition is good for fans because it pushes studios to create better films.

Animation tools today are more powerful than ever. This means Disney can: Create more detailed worlds, Experiment with styles, Tell more emotional stories. The future of animation is becoming limitless.

One of the biggest surprises for Disney fans is that Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, is planning to step down. Bob Iger has been a true force for Disney for decades, leading the company through major acquisitions like Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 21st Century Fox.

The new executive taking over is expected to bring a fresh perspective to Disney. While Bob Iger was known for balancing creativity with business success, the new leadership may focus on new creative directions, more original movies or different approaches to sequels, Disney+ strategy, New streaming shows connected to movies. Fans are paying close attention because Bob Iger built a legacy of combining beloved stories with innovation. The new CEO will need to maintain Disney magic while introducing exciting new ideas.

One reason Disney remains successful after 100 years is simple. "Emotions". Disney movies are not just about adventure. They're about: Family, Friendship, Courage, Finding yourself.

Frozen especially connected with audiences because it focused on the love between sisters instead of romance. That emotional storytelling is Disney’s biggest strength and they are continuing with that. But to me I think that Disney should stop to heavily rely on the emotional aspect.

The next few years could be one of the most exciting times for Disney fans. We're getting: Frozen 3, Frozen 4, Hexed, Possible new animation styles, More Disney+ content.

By mixing beloved franchises like Frozen with new ideas like Hexed and experimenting with animation styles, Disney is trying to stay magical for the next generation. For kids today and even adults the future of Disney movies looks bright, colorful. And honestly? That’s exactly what Disney has always been about.
