Moana Returns… But Not Everyone Is Happy

Moana Returns… But Not Everyone Is Happy

The Moana live-action also follows the same pattern as the 2016 original. Moana is a brave girl who lives on an island with her family. One day, the ocean chooses her for a very important mission. She must travel far away from home to save her people. She sails across the ocean, finds a demigod called Maui, faces different and scary monsters and learns to believe in herself. The cast for the live-action movie is Catherine Laga'aia, who plays Moana; Dwayne Johnson plays Maui; John Tui plays Chief Tui (Moana’s father); Frankie Adams plays Sina (Moana’s mother); and Rena Owen plays Grandma Tala. One thing the fans love is the fact that Dwayne Johnson is returning as Maui. He voiced the animated character Maui in the movie. Also, the casting of Catherine Laga’aia is also a perfect choice because she has Polynesian roots.

The movie is set to be released July 10, 2026. Almost ten years from the original. Now people have been complaining about the movie ever since the trailer came out. Some of the biggest complaints were about Maui and his appearance. Some said his wig didn’t look real and his overall look felt "off"; instead of looking natural, some people felt it looked like a costume. Another problem was the use of too much CGI. Some fans said it doesn't really look like real life; it still feels like the animation. Fans expected the look to be more natural, but instead it just felt digital.

The biggest questions from fans are, 'There's already a Moana 2 movie, and the original Moana movie which came out hasn't even reached a decade, and Disney is already releasing a live-action movie of an original that's still fresh in our minds?'

Some people believe this is just another Disney cash grab. Disney has done a lot of remakes, plus the original is still very fresh in our minds. It just looks like Disney is trying to make money from something that people already love.

The main story will stay the same, but it will feel deeper and more serious. Songs like “How Far I’ll Go” may return, possibly with new versions. The movie started production in 2023 in Hawaii. The Moana live-action movie is a bold move. It is trying to take something people already love and make it new again. But I'm very excited to see this m

I'm diving into the hilarious but frustrating reality of Nigerian parents and their inability to apologize with words. From the "Have you eaten?" peace offerings to the struggle of explaining emotional boundaries to a father who only understands "respect," this post is for everyone who has ever eaten their feelings because their parents couldn't say the S-word.

Privacy vs. Secrecy: Why I’m Not Posting My Man Doesn't Mean I’m Single

In the age of the "Hard Launch," I’m defending the right to keep your relationship off the timeline. There’s a thin line between privacy and secrecy, and I’m breaking down how to tell the difference. Whether it’s avoiding "online in-laws" or spotting the "community boy" red flags, this post is for everyone who prefers a quiet love over a loud Instagram feed. Your man isn't a secret just because he's not on your Story.

Indomie is a Love Language

From the "Student Level" noodles to the "Nepo Baby" stir-fry version, Indomie is the unofficial national dish of every tired Nigerian. I’m celebrating the one meal that never judges our bank accounts or our laziness. This post is a love letter to the seasoning that cures heartbreak and the three-minute miracle that saves us after a long day. If Indomie is wrong, I don't want to be right.
